Our Story: Live as a Gaming Parent

Our Story

If you are a parent with a passion for gaming, you already know the feeling. The moment you welcome your first child into the world, everything changes. Your responsibilities shift, your sleep schedule disappears, and suddenly, you find yourself consciously calculating screen time, not just for your kids, but for yourself.

For me, becoming a father was the best thing that ever happened. But as a lifelong gamer, I quickly realized my hobby had to adapt. The days of spontaneous, uninterrupted multiplayer marathons were over. On top of that, many of the friends I usually played with were also starting their own families. Our dynamic changed. We had less time to meet up physically, and our digital hangouts became shorter and harder to plan.

But the itch to play games never went away. Gaming has always been my way to decompress, escape for a bit, and recharge my batteries. I knew I was not the only parent feeling this way.

When I started looking for advice on how to balance parenthood with gaming, I hit a wall. The internet is full of generic parenting blogs or hardcore gaming sites, but there was no single, dedicated place that combined the two. When you are surviving on three hours of sleep, you do not have the time to scour Reddit forums for tips on one-handed games or the best ways to set up a console during a contact nap. You just want practical, recognizable advice in one place.

That is why I created: Parents, Pause & Play.

This platform is built for the growing community of gaming parents. It is a place where I share my honest insights, personal struggles, and practical tips on how to keep your favorite hobby alive while raising a family. Whether you are looking for games that respect your time, hardware hacks that save your back during feeding sessions, or just a relatable story to read while the baby sleeps on your chest, you will find it here.

We believe that taking care of yourself is a crucial part of taking care of your family. Parenthood is a multiplayer experience, and you do not have to hang up your controller just because you leveled up in life.

Pause when you need to, and play whenever you can. Welcome to the team!
